The Perth Mint has struck the first in Tuvalu's Extinct Species series of colorized proof silver Crowns and it's a knockout! This One Ounce .999 Proof Silver Crown bears a denomination of One Tuvaluan Dollar, the Issuance date of 2011 and a beautifully rendered, colorized portrait of the sadly now extinct Tasmanian Tiger.

This Silver Crown has a limited Mintage of 5,000. (Again) They are only striking 5,000 of these things! Add to that the exemplary artistry and craftsmanship that went into every aspect of this issuance (The Mint Issued box is even inset with Birds-eye Maple!) and this coin in destined to be one of the most seriously prized commemorative NCLTs on the collectors' market - period.
