| What is Microfibre and how does it work?
Introduced in 1986, microfibre is a revolutionary synthetic fibre, that can be woven, processed and finished in a variety of ways to achieve a specific result.
The synthetic fibre can be manufactured to extreme fine tolerances, many times thinner than human hair. Human hair has a denier of 20, compared to a denier of 0.1-0.2 for microfibre.
Each microfibre mop or cloth consists of tens of thousand tiny storage compartments. There are approximately 90,000 microfibres per square inch of quality microfibre products. They can hold 8 times their weight in dirt, dust and moisture, which is lifted and trapped leaving the surface dry and polished, with a substantial reduction in chemical use.
