Greetings!
There is no doubt what is at the forefront of most
everyone's mind as we begin 2009 - the economy. A
recent
survey of metal fabricators proves this to be the
case for Die Makers, who ranked the economy as
their number one business concern.
Tasked with addressing the ailing economy, newly-
instated President Obama is slated to present a
stimulus package and enact programs for
employment growth. The Plastics industry,
among others, is optimistically looking for relief and
anxiously awaiting the changes to be made.
Despite the constant buzz about the struggling
economy, there are still signs that an up-swing is on
the horizon.
Quality Magazine's 9th Annual Capital Spending
Survey reports spending is standing strong
and projects where this spending will happen.
To remain competitive in today's tough environment, it
is critical that shops evolve to using streamlined,
integrated processes. For
Mold and Die makers, design is one example of
an area of the
business that can be improved through the
automation and integration of
3-D design software.
We wish you and your business a successful
2009.
