Lynn Begins Fall Semester

Last week Lynn held orientation for 450 new students, and on Monday the Class of 2016 joined returning students for the start of the 2012-2013 academic year.   On Tuesday, Lynn President Kevin Ross addressed those new students during the university's annual Welcome Convocation.

All current Lynn students will have the opportunity to witness history firsthand as the university prepares to host the third and final 2012 presidential debate on October 22.  In addition to having access to debate-related programming and events, Lynn students will be taking debate-related courses this semester.  They will also have the opportunity to receive a ticket to the debate through an upcoming lottery system.

Also, the group of College of Communication students scheduled to travel to and report from the conventions is still reporting from the RNC, although their trip was delayed a day by then Tropical Storm Isaac.

Lynn Continues Campus Debate Prep

With only 54 days left until the debate, the Lynn University campus continues to be transformed.  The campus North Parking Lot will be closed until after the debate, but parking is available in the newly constructed South Parking Lot accessible by the West Potomac Road entrance.

Additionally, the university's main Military Trail entrance has been undergoing renovations, which include the addition of more traffic lanes.  A new traffic signal at the entrance is supposed to be functioning in the next month as well.
