CER Training Program makes an impact
Experts from various universities across the country have provided instructional materials for the training program

Contributions from the University of Washington, University of Minnesota, Dartmouth College, University of California at San Francisco, Oregon Health and Sciences University and Duke University Medical Center have all enhanced the Comparative Effectiveness Research Training Program.

The CCTS received targeted funding from the NCRR to build out a comparative effectiveness research workforce development program.

A total of 32 local clinician researchers are expected to complete the CER training program by November, 2 additional trainees are completing the program long distance, and 39 hours of online instructional materials with public access will be posted to a resource room this fall.

CCTS Call for Mentors
The Center for Clinical and Translational Science is seeking nominations for its Mentorship Advisory Group.

The Mentorship Advisory Group will advise both mentors and protégés throughout the University as to mentorship best practices, serve as a mediating body to resolve challenges that may arise in the mentorship relationship, and to aid protégés in networking and identifying additional mentors that may be required as their careers and programs of investigation evolve.

If you have been in a rewarding mentorship relationship, know a colleague whose expertise would benefit the group, or if you have a passion for developing protégés, consider a nomination to the CCTS Mentorship Advisory Group.

Read more about the mentorship program on the website. Nominations and questions can be sent to Stephanie Vecchiarelli.
