Parent Teacher Conferences

Monday, February 6th and Tuesday, February 7th, are parent teacher conferences for PS4.  A conference form will be coming home with your child this week.  Please be sure to read the form and return as soon as possible so I can schedule your conference time.

Wednesday, February 22nd -  Teachable Moment Mentor, Diane Shoppell from the Before 5 Project of Dekko Foundation will be sharing  some easy, practical ways to support 4 areas of learning, intellectual, emotional, physical and social.  Each family will receive their own packet of written material addressing these areas of learning. 

The Before 5 Project is an initiative of the Dekko Foundation to support parents in their important role as their children's first and best teacher!

Valentine's Day  

Wednesday, February 15th. 

Don't forget your child's Valentines.  Rachel Parker is the coordinator for the party,  Ana Cabrera is doing refreshments and Cassie Silveus is in charge of games.

Weekly  Classroom Curriculum

Art- Finish our moths and our lions; Paint a snowman

Bible- A Little Boy Shares His Lunch - The students will know that Jesus has power over nature and that He blesses when we share.  The students will, out of greater reverence for Jesus' power, evidence an increased desire to share with others. 

Language Arts- Nanny Goat "N" Week - "N says N, N, N, N, Nannygoat.  I say naa, naa, from my throat." Group writing a story about a snowman.

 Math- Surveys and Real Graphs - Children will poll another class about the beverages they drink and display the data in a real graph; Work with identifying numerals 10, 11, 12, and 13 and making sets to illustrate those amounts.

Science- Review the Winter Words - Migrate, Hibernate, Insulate; Introduce new Winter Word -Congregate
