Weekly Specials Schedule

Music- Wednesday 9:20-9:50

P.E.-Thursday 9:20-9:50

Please provide snowpants, boots, mittens or gloves, and a hat for your child for recess time.  We do go outside everyday unless it is very cold.  The children are not permitted to play in the snow unless they have snowpants and boots on.  It works best if the snow gear comes to school in a different bag than their back pack.  When we send artwork home it gets crushed and wet from the clothing and boots.  If you have extra gear, it can stay here at school if you send it in a large plastic bag or tote and label it with your child's name.

WCS Christmas Program

Don't Forget that our School's Christmas Program in next Tuesday evening, December 6th at 6:30.  The children need to be in the preschool room no later than 6:15.  The children are to wear dressy attire for the program.  The preschool three-year-old class will be joining our class to sing three songs.

They are:

No Room!

They were stuffed in tight to the left and right

No room! No room!

They were stuffed in tight to the left and right

No room! No room!

Knock! Knock! Knock! Joseph and his wife

Said, "We need a place for the night."

Knock! Knock! Knock! The innkeeper said,

"All I have is a stable for a bed."

(repeat)

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger no crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus lay down his sweet head.

The stars in the sky looked down where He lay,

The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask You to stay

Close by me forever and love me I pray;

Bless all the dear children in Your tender care,

And fit us for heaven to live with You there.

Room Around the Manger

There's a place for you, a place for me;

There's room around the manger.

Come inside and you will find

There's room around the manger.

Jesus is God's gift to every boy and girl.

Come and worship Him,

There's room for all the world.

There's a place for you, a place for me

There's room around the manger.

Come inside and you will find

There's room around the manger.

We have been working on learning these songs, especially No Room! and Room Around the Manger but you may want to help your child at home with the words because we will not see them again until the Wednesday after the program.  We have not spent as much time working on Away in a Manger and we are finding that the children do not know the words to this song as well as they know the words to the other two - especially the last verse.  Please work on that with your child!

We are the fourth presentation in the program

following the band, choir and chimes. We are requesting that preschool parents sit in the aisle seats because after the children are finished singing, they will go back to sit with you.  If you cannot stay for the rest of the program (and we are encouraging you to do so!) there will be seats designated for those who must leave early.  These seats will be in the back of the gymnasium near the stairs.  Please leave as quietly as possible so you do not interrupt the ongoing performances.

Thank you!

Bible Verses for December

Luke 2:11 "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord."

We want to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.  The Christmas Season is a time to reflect on the love that our Father God has for His creation.  He knew that we were lost and in need of a Savior so He sent his one and only son to be a sacrifice for all people!  What a demonstration of love!  It is our prayer that you know this Savior personally.  Jesus was God's gift to the world but we must accept that gift and make it our own.  Have you invited Jesus Christ to be your Savior- to forgive your sins and to take up residence in your heart?  If not, we pray that you may do that today and experience the joy and peace that only He can give!

Have a Blessed Christmas Season,

Mrs. Patti Boren
