This summer, North Star Reach will participate in its fourth season of Camp on the Move, a program established by Hole in the Wall Camps to help build awareness of developing camps as well as begin to serve local campers and families.
Since 2008, North Star Reach has provided 38 children with the opportunity to experience a Hole in the Wall Camp first hand. This summer, nine campers and three volunteers will spend a week at Victory Junction in North Carolina. Past campers have also attended Double H Ranch in New York and Camp Boggy Creek in Florida.
CEO, Doug Armstrong believes North Star Reach's participation in Camp on the Move has provided insight into the details of an operating camp that are difficult to see from the outside and has given campers and volunteers "a great opportunity to get a sneak peek of the magical program we will host at North Star Reach."

This program is free of charge for all campers, much like future programs at North Star Reach. Hole in the Wall Camps have had a long standing practice of providing barrier free environments for children and their families, including universally accessible camps, providing 24-hour medical support and offering camp to children regardless of an ability to pay.
As North Star Reach will serve Michigan and surrounding states, campers for this summer's camp have been recruited from Children's Hospital of Michigan and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and come from across Michigan and Northwest Ohio.
