Greetings!

Happy 2011!!   I don't know about you, but I'm excited about the fresh new start that a new year offers, and have firmly set my intentions to make this year my best year yet. I hope you have too because making a conscious choice is the first step.  (Find out what the next steps are in the article below.)

 

Over the past decade, I've dedicated my life to helping people overcome challenges - no matter the nature - and in the process have found and developed a number of powerful tools that I'd like to share with you.


I guarantee that if you learn and apply the simple but powerful tools in this and future issues you will have what you need to navigate life's challenges. It's not what life throws our way that matters - it's how we handle what life throws our way that matters. The more tools we have in our mental/emotional tool box, the better able we are to conquer life's challenges.

Out With The Old Resolution and In With....
The New Solution - In Four Simple Steps


Most resolutions are forgotten within the first couple of weeks after making them, so this year let's do something a bit different.


Step 1: Close your eyes and imagine an empty blackboard in front of your mind's eye. Imagine walking up to that blackboard and writing or drawing anything from 2010 or any other year in your past. Everything that's been weighing heavily on your mind or your heart. Take your time and then when you're ready erase everything on the board - setting your intention to shift your energy away from the past and towards the future.


Step 2: On your clean blackboard or on a piece of paper write down everything that you want to create or achieve in 2011 and beyond. Set your intentions high because your potential is unlimited. No need to write a novel - bulleted thought points will do just fine.


Step 3: Now create a representative image for each item on your list. Then create a mental movie incorporating all your images.


Step 4: Play your mental movie until you can feel the positive feeling held in those images and notice how much better it feels to create the future than worry about the things that are over and done from the past.  Whenever you catch your mind in a negative place switch channels and play your movie. See it.  Feel it. Receive it.

Super Brain Yoga Instructions

  1. Remove all your jewelry and stand facing the sunrise or towards the east.

  2. Hold your right earlobe with the index finger and thumb of your left hand. Making sure that your thumb is on the front of your ear lobe.

  3. Hold your left earlobe with the index finger and thumb of your right hand, again makng sure your thumb is on the front of your ear lobe.

  4. Your left arm will be under your right arm.

  5. As you hold your ear lobes, press your tongue to the roof of your mouth.

  6. Now inhale through your nose and slowly squat down until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
  7. Hold your breath for a moment and then exhale on your way back to standing.  Continue holding your lobes and sticking your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
  8. Repeat this 14 more times for a total of 15 times.
