The Calgary Stampede, or "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", is celebrating it's 100th year! For 10 days, starting this Friday, people will gather to enjoy the rodeo, parade, concerts, shows, exhibitions, and shopping!
In honor of the Calgary Stampede's Centennial, Andy and Aaron Sanchez created this gorgeous 7ft table they have called "Stampede" It is made of Alligator Juniper and inlaid with several types of marble & turquoise.
This year will be the first year that Andy and Aaron Sanchez will be at the Stampede. Make sure to stop by and see them in the BMO Centre! |

James Ayers Western Art has been busy! He has 2 brand new paintings "His Bountiful Realm" and "Joyful Spirit".
"Joyful Spirit" shows a young Hopi woman enjoying a laugh. The elaborate hairdo was called "squash blossom hair" and was worn by unmarried Hopi maidens to signify maturity and readiness to marry. The hair was wrapped around a curved piece of wood and then the wood was removed leaving behind the round shape. This hairstyle is also referred to as "butterfly whorls." The Western Diva is now carrying Ranchio Estancia! They will be posted to their website shortly! RND Rustics has a new with crocodile and top grain leather! Don't forget they accept custom orders The Bar W family grew by two this year as they welcome Bo and Luke to the family. They are Nigerian Dwarf goats that came to them in May. They are sporting collars so that they can learn to walk on a leash to and from their indoor and outdoor homes.
