Texas Music Chart News
In other Texas Music Chart news, a music career seminar has added a session on sponsorship and branding. "You are the brand," says Bob Cohen, who has worked and consulted in the media, sports, and entertainment fields for over 30 years. Cohen is the latest addition to the annual music industry career seminar, "I've Made a Record...Now What?" happening February 1 in Houston.

First-Ever Rodeo Rockstar Competition
Video entries are now being accepted online for the first-ever Rodeo Rockstar competition at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Non-professional competitors who wish to showcase their musical talents are encouraged to submit an audition video through the RodeoHouston official Facebook page or at the official website. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
Rodeo Rockstar is open to individuals between the ages of 6 and 21 who are not practicing professionals or engaged in this work for a livelihood. This includes any person who might have a manager, music recording contract, agreement relating to the use of his or her name/likeness, or other entertainment contract.
