Patricia Wolf promotes All-American, western traditions. She is very proud to say "Made in America".
Patricia has been making her beautiful apparel and accessories in Smithville, Texas, for 30 years. She says, "I love designing clothing, accessories, and home decor with a western lifestyle theme."
Her styles range from chic to buckaroo cowgirl, and to vintage cowboy home furnishings. "Western Americana will always be with us, but not everyone lives on a ranch. I see my collections as not just 'Western', but as something fun when the occasion fits- either in Santa Fe, New Mexico, or New York City."

Out West Gifts
Meeting a Need to Find Locally Made Products Easily
The Out West Gifts story started years ago as owner Laura Prather always dreamed of running her own business. She has long had an entrepreneurial spirit. Finally, in the summer of 2009, it all came together like a puzzle, and Laura knew it was time to act on the ideas and desires that had been swirling in the back of her mind for so many years.
At the time, she was working in a tourist venue, and every day listened to one main question from the customers, "Where are all your locally made products?" It was a good question, and a frustrating one, as they had made several requests from their buyers for the same thing. After awhile, Laura decided that, instead of waiting on someone else, she would just do it!
In August 2009, Laura stepped out in faith and began the process of planning, praying, and laying the ground work for Out West Gifts. The most important thing for Out West Gifts was that every product had to be hand-crafted, be of fine quality, and the artists had to live and work there in the Rocky Mountains. There were two reasons for this:
- Meet a need for people to find locally made products easily.
- Support and grow the local economy.
On October 7, 2009, Out West Gifts officially opened for business, and it has now been nearly two years of tremendous growth and adventure! Laura's husband now joins her full time, and they are both passionate about what they do.

Texas Music Chart
Your Guide to Texas and Red Dirt Music
Stoney LaRue is back after a four year stretch without a new CD! His single "Velvet" debuts on the Texas Music Chart at #20 this week. "Velvet" is the first single from Stoney to hit the Chart since "Solid Gone" in 2009. We're glad to have him back!
There's a new number one on the Chart this week, too. Kevin Fowler's "Hell Yeah, I Like Beer" has knocked "Ballad of Rosalie" by Cody Canada & the Departed to #2. "Crazy Girl" by Eli Young Band sits at #3 this week and "Long Hot Summer Days" by the Turnpike Troubadours moves up one to #4. "Breaks My Heart" by Casey Donahew Band rounds out the top 5 this week.
The biggest move of the week is by Ryan Turner with "Sweet Time." In its second week, the single moves up 12 spots from #50 to #38.
Other new music to the Chart this week includes "Hot Mess" by Johnny Cooper at #47 and "Radiate" by Brandon Adams & the Sad Bastards at #50. Dean Seltzer also reappears at #48 with "Beatle Song."

News, Sales, & Events
NEW ISSUE OF BEST IN TEXAS IS ON THE STREETS!
Summertime in Texas: Singer-songwriter Kevin Fowler beats the heat sitting on a waterfall with his feet dangling in the pond below, a cold Bud Light within reach. That's the cover of the Summer 2011 issue of Best in Texas® Music Magazine.
In the cover story, Fowler claims to have "more songs about beer than anybody in the history of Texas music- or any music." So it's natural that his most recent release is "Hell Yeah, I Like Beer," which reached the number one position on the Texas Music Chart just as the new Best In Texas hit the streets.
Also in the Summer issue are features on John Slaughter, who stepped out from the Roger Creager Band for his own spotlight, and The Captain Legendary Band, whose name was inspired by a rum and bumper sticker.
Brandon Rhyder answers questions about what's in his freezer, about his first-ever food and music festival, and his new Live at Billy Bob's Texas CD.
