Cattle Kate
Apparel & Accessories from the Old West
Welcome Cattle Kate to The Western Vault! The clothing offered by Cattle Kate is handmade in rural America with great attention to detail. The generous amounts of fine quality fabrics, exquisite trims, covered buttons, and finishing touches will remind you of clothing made by skilled pioneer women from the past. Along with their own designs, they have selected a collection of fine products made by other artisans and companies to compliment their line. For those who are drawn to America's heritage, Cattle Kate provides a ticket back to that time and place. We hope you find in their designs the quality, honesty, and strength that we have found in our frontier past.
Cattle Kate, a.k.a. Ella Watson, a frontier homesteader of the 1800's, met the challenges and woes of the Old West with her own special flair. A spirit of hard work and gutsiness left her unafraid to pursue her goals. Cattle Kate of today is inspired by the romance of that era and the legend of its namesake.

Chuck's Woodbarn
Specializing in a Lost Art- Steam Bending Wood
New Western Vault member, Chuck's Woodbarn, is owned and operated by Charlie and Sherry Zeller. Specializing in the lost art of steam bending wood to create beautiful hand-crafted trunks and wooden chests, Chuck crafts unique works of art- no two alike. Emphasis is put on fine craftsmanship and quality construction. Chuck personally designs and constructs everything from the beginning jigs to finalizing with finishing the interiors.
Coming from a family with a long history of wood workers, Chuck spent his childhood working in his Dad's shop and later helped operate the family-owned lumber yard and construction business. Chuck now designs and creates beautiful, unique pieces of furniture- steam bending wood to create "true" camel back trunks being his forte.
"What a wonderful feeling to be able to create something that will not only be very special to someone today, but also will be passed on to someone they love," Chuck says. "I can't begin to tell you how proud it makes me when people look at my product and immediately talk about handing it down to their descendants."

Silver Mountain Furniture Company
Hand-Crafted Rocking Chairs with Chiropractor Endorsed Lumbar Support
Please welcome to The Western Vault- Silver Mountain Furniture Company! Yankee craftsmanship- that is the best way to describe the work of Jerry Brown and the Colorado Rocking Chairs that are hand-crafted in Westcliffe, Colorado.

Previously long-time residents of New Hampshire, Jerry & Sandy Brown made the move in 2000 to Colorado where they operate a 45 acre ranch at the base of the magnificent Sangre de Cristo mountains. In fact, those mountains are the inspiration for the model names of the rocking chairs- each one is named after one of the mountain peaks!

Although Jerry makes many pieces of custom furniture, as well as doing antique restoration and replication, his main focus is rocking chairs. Jerry decided to design a chair that has true back support without using spindles. He also developed a lumbar support feature that can be easily adjusted or removed. This support feature has been endorsed by chiropractors and can be incorporated into any model of chair offered. Each chair is made of solid hardwood and is finished in its natural color- no stains are used. Proudly handcrafted in the USA, Colorado Rocking Chairs are truly heirlooms to be passed down for generations.

Snodgress Equipment
Your Complete Provider of Arena Werks™ Farm, Ranch, and Arena Equipment
Last, but definitely not least, welcome one more new member to The Western Vault- Snodgress Equipment! Snodgress Equipment is your complete provider of Arena Werks™ and Hey Werks™ farm, ranch, and arena equipment. Randy Snodgress, owner of Arena Werks™ in Joshua, Texas, knows that every arena is different around the world. His business started from a simple desire. Randy needed a drag when he trained show horses, so he built one. Then a friend wanted one, then a neighbor, and the rest is drag history.
The original round harrow was developed based on designs from horse-drawn rotary harrows. People said, "I like your drag, but I wish it did this." From this desire was born the Arena Werks II (the Arena Werks with the buggy), the Arena Werks Jr., and the H2O Pro (with water). The idea behind the original Arena Werks™ is simple. It rotates breaking up uneven clumps of dirt, spinning them around and depositing them in low spots. The result is a smooth, level finish on the entire arena. There are five different models for different kinds of dirt. Arena Werks™ offers a model for each different kind of ground for various applications and fits them to the individual and their needs. Randy says, "It's a product that people love! When they call and order, they know what they want; they saw it at a show or at their neighbor's or trainer's or friend's house and want one. Most of our business is referral or repeat. It's nice to sell something that somebody already knows they want. Then, when they get it, they call back and thank you because they love it!" Snodgress conludes, "What's on our drags and in our ads is Proverbs 16:3, 'Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plan shall succeed.' We know this business is truly His."
