With interest rates at historic lows and demand for jobs in key sectors at an all-time high, today's economic climate offers an unprecedented opportunity to make the most cost-effective investment in FVTC's facilities and infrastructure. High job demand among employers in public safety, healthcare, agriculture, and transportation has fueled rapid increases in enrollment, making FVTC the leader among technical colleges statewide in the number of students served. The ability of employers to sustain new job growth depends on their access to a skilled workforce. Approving the referendum will allow FVTC to continue to grow with the times and to give its graduates and their employers the competitive edge needed in today's economy. All this for just pennies a day, or approximately $1 a month per $100,000 of property value. Vote yes, Tuesday April 3rd! For more information visit: http://techworksfvtc.com/

Pulse February Event - REAL COLORS

If you had a key that would unlock the answers to human behavior, would you use it? Imagine having the knowledge to truly understand yourself and others, without requiring years of study.

At this event we will be giving you that key to identify four temperaments (Blue, Gold, Green & Orange). As a result, it will provide you with an effective tool for understanding human behavior, for uncovering motivators specific to each temperament and for improving communication skills. Most importantly, it will be easy to incorporate into all areas of daily life. It is the key to achieving higher levels of success, personally and professionally.

Career and Employment Resource Fair - Sign Up Today!!

Employment Fair Header

The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board and the Fox Cities Workforce Center will sponsor the Fox Cities Employment and Resource Fair on March 22nd from 10 AM to 3 PM.  This event will be held in the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley campus field house.

This community job and employment resource fair seeks to connect job seekers with employers representing a wide range of occupations to fill workforce needs today and in the future!

The 2012 Economic Outlook survey highlighted the difficulty in hiring qualified workers (both locally, at state and national levels). The fair gives businesses a chance to connect directly with a number of job seekers at one time.  Last year in 2011, the fair had 560 job seekers with 42 employer and resource booths - with an overwhelmingly positive response.
