Dear Friends,
I invite you to share the joy of Peysakh with the Workmen's Circle/Arbeter Ring for
A Food Justice Cultural Seder 2012
Our annual Arbeter Ring Seder is a beautiful celebration of our heritage and culture. We sing of the hidden Jews of Spain during the Inquisition, the martyrs and heroes of the ghettos of Poland, the Jews of Soviet Russia, the seekers of global peace and all champions of liberation and workers' rights.
Our annual Seder embodies the Workmen's Circle tradition of connecting our heritage with the human struggle for freedom from the Pharoahs of our modern-day world.
This year's theme, Food Justice, focuses our concern on the global struggle for safe, abundant, healthy and affordable sustenance for all the world's people. We are also asking for donations of non-perishable food items for SOVA, our local food bank!
Our Seder is an experience of inclusion and diversity, part of our commitment to being a progressive Jewish alternative in Southern California. Non-Jewish friends and family are always welcome.
Our program is in English, with group participation. Songs are in English, Yiddish and Hebrew.
Be sure to reserve your tickets by Monday April 2nd!
In friendship,
Kalil Cohen
