Every Monday at 2 pm Thanks to your attendance, her Conversational Yiddish group is thriving with world-recognized Yiddish teacher, scholar, translator and raconteuse Hadasa Cytrynowicz. Originally from Lodz, and later a long-time resident of Brazil, Hadasa brings a wealth of experience and stories, songs, proverbs and sayings, poetry and interesting topics for discussion to her group. Each session is an hour and 15 minutes. Admission is by voluntary donation.
Keep your Yiddish kite flying by attending this group! All levels of Yiddish are welcome. Kumt arayn!

By participating in a focus group, you will have a chance to shape Jewish cultural life in LA, meet some fantastic progressive Jews, and nosh of course. Yiddishkayt is excited to present The Shpil at Genghis Cohen on the 22nd! The Shpil debuted in February 2009 at Club Fais Do Do as one of the founding groups in The Unity Project, presenting world music events featuring diverse local artists. The Shpil is committed to making Los Angeles a more musically vibrant and fascinating place. Collecting songs from far and wide, The Shpil's repertoire ranges from authentic klezmer standards to downright obscure folk melodies to tongue-in-cheek pop covers to daring originals.
