In A More Beautiful World Gallery House of Pleasures: Paintings by Eliza M. Schmid Now through April 30
Eliza
Schmid, a classically trained psychoanalyst, spins stories in her
paintings that are whimsical, tragicomical and grotesque, often about
abnormal, surrealist mental conditions that are yet tellingly
emblematic of our so-called "normal" times. Her previous show several
years ago was one of the most popular ever in our gallery. Don't miss
this show of new work, which brings in fresh elements of witchcraft and travel. Call before coming just to be sure we're here!

social movements of the last 30 years. And it could be yours! Raffle

alternatively as warm, gifted, a consummate performer and a complete
chameleon, the New York Times says "she has turned to theatre, to
writing, to art, in an effort to sort through the experience of growing
up in a family with memories too terrible to speak of." Deb's comedic
genius should leave no fan of Tracy Ullman or Lily Tomlin disappointed! Check out her rock 'n roll songs in Yiddish! Temple Akiba: 5249 South Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City, CA $25 ($20 groups of 8 or more)
