In A More Beautiful World Gallery
House of Pleasures: Paintings by Eliza M. Schmid
Now through April 30
House of Pleasures

Eliza Schmid, a classically trained psychoanalyst, spins stories in her paintings that are whimsical, tragicomical and grotesque, often about abnormal, surrealist mental conditions that are yet tellingly emblematic of our so-called "normal" times. Her previous show several years ago was one of the most popular ever in our gallery. Don't miss this show of new work, which brings in fresh elements of witchcraft and travel. Call before coming just to be sure we're here!

quilt Win "The Revolution is Only a T-Shirt Away" Quilt!

When we concluded our 2009 exhibition in A Beautiful World Gallery, "The Revolution is Only a T-Shirt Away," Arbeter Ring commissioned a queen-sized quilt created with activist t-shirts donated to the show. The result is a beautiful, priceless heirloom reflecting the legacy of social movements of the last 30 years. And it could be yours! Raffle tickets are $5 each, 5/$20. Purchase in person, by phone, email or mail. Only 500 tickets will be sold and there are just a few dozen tickets left!
