To cover a bet, Elvis' manager, "the Colonel," has promised Elvis' services at a Las Vegas party; but Elvis is nowhere to be found!Where is Elvis and, more importantly, why are there two other Elvises running around Memphis? Landmark China
Eyes on China: The Living Legacy of the Arts in Chinese Culture

 

On Saturday, May 26 at 7:30 pm 

Sally dhruva Stephenson, Ed.D, Associate Professor, Frostburg State University will present Eyes on China, the Living Legacy of the Arts in Chinese Culture at the Landmark Studio for the Arts, 4th and Mains Streets in Historic Downtown Sutton WV. The program will take audience members on a visual and auditory journey to various locations in China to explore the arts in Chinese culture. Topics will include the fine arts of poetry, painting, calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics, music and dance as well as folk art traditions such as shadow puppetry, weaving and embroidery. The presentation will include a photography display and demonstrations of several Chinese traditional musical instruments and is funded with assistance from with the West Virginia Humanities Council. Audience members will be encouraged to participate in a dialogue with the presenter. Admission is by donation. Inspired by all the wild and wonderful West Virginia women she has known and loved, Jessi Blue Gormezano wrote the one woman show Mark My Words. The story centers on Carla, a young bride who gets jilted on the morning of her wedding. Her best friend, her hairdresser, and her mother all offer their wisdom and support.With four West Virginia women operating within a crisis, expect perms, pick up trucks and cheap tequila.
