Sports Highlight: Fairmont Family Night Angels Game We loved seeing the whole Fairmont Family out cheering the Angels on to victory last Friday! We even congratulated our very own Fairmont Prep baseball star Felipe Perez with this message up on the big screen!
Whether it's watching or playing the game, athletics are an important part of elementary, junior high and high school. We are pleased to offer so many DSL and Tri-Way sports at Mable, and encourage our student athletes to continue to play sports at Fairmont Prep by participating in one of the following CIF teams: Cross Country, Football, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball and Softball.
True Grits Raffle- Deadline Extended The Mable Campus Used Uniform Program will be giving away a $50.00 gift certificate to one lucky student. Your student's name will be entered into the drawing for each piece of gently used True Grits School Uniforms item that is donated to the Mable Used Uniform Program through May 10, 2012. The drawing will be held at the Fairmont Parent Association Meeting on May 10. You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. You may enter the drawing by simply placing all gently used True Grits School Uniforms item(s) into a bag and placing the label (found on this flyer) on the outside of the sealed bag.

Feature Article Junior High Pentathlon Takes Top Award
On Saturday, April 31, Mable Campus competed in the Orange County Academic Pentathlon. This competition is sponsored by the Orange County Department of Education and is open to Junior High students who attend schools throughout Orange County. Students take tests in five subject areas: literature, history, science, essay, and math. Students also compete in Super Quiz which has two components. The first component is a written test in which the students compete individually. During the second component, the students work as a unified Mable team. Each year, the subject area of the Super Quiz switches between history and science. This year the subject of the Super Quiz was history. Along with Mable's first place win in 7th grade (by 3.000 points), the 8th grade team placed second, missing first place by a less than 200 points. Additionally, each student took home individual medals signifying a first through sixth place finish in each subject category.
Congratulations to our Pentathlon students:
