Mable Book Fair
Aloha! The whole school is excited about our upcoming Book Fair. An amazing selection of books is headed our way!
At the Book Fair you will find the latest and finest titles for kids, as well as books of interest to parents.
Mark your calendar for our Family Event where the whole family can join in the fun. And, you can contribute books to your child's classroom library.
The Book Fair is a great way to get everyone excited about reading. See you there!

Character Counts Workshop: Bullying
Tuesday, March 13, 7pm-8:30pm
Fairmont Edgewood Campus
Fairmont's Edgewood Campus is pleased to invite all Fairmont parents to a special Character Counts workshop on the topic of bullying. Fairmont believes in teaching students good character skills that will help them be positive contributors to our global society. We want to help our students learn how to interact in appropriate ways and to maintain our respectful campus environment.
As part of this Character Counts program, we've invited Mr. Mike Dreiblatt, author of How to Stop Bullying and Social Aggression and national speaker, to speak with our parents about bullying and show us how to address potential challenges. You'll leave with a better understanding of what bullying really is and some great tips for promoting good character in your home.
Parent Association Scrip Orders
The FPA is asking for your scrip orders. Scrip orders must be returned to the Mable FPA mailbox located in the library. Orders are due March 20.

Feature Article Talent Abounds at Mable's Talent Show
Each and every year the Mable Talent Show brings excitement. For weeks, the participants practice under the watchful eyes of the brave parent volunteers. This year, Mr. Cho, Mrs. Kishimoto, and Mr. and Mrs. Batra took on the task of grooming the blossoming young talent and turning them into stars.
The acts are always varied and this year was no different. The audience was treated to such acts as a rock band, piano and violin solos, group dance numbers and, in a talent show first there was a piano/vocal and dance duet. One of the highlights of the night was 1st grader Kirin B. who sang "Waka, Waka," by Shakira. As she was exiting the stage, she paused with an expression as if she had just had a brilliant idea. She ran back to the microphone and asked the audience, "Can I please sing one more song?"
