Chapman University We invite you to join us at our inaugural joint open house event as we kick off the New Year and launch our 2011 Report Card. This is the first time in Fairmont history that all five campuses will be together in one location, and you won't want to miss it! Preview your child's next grade level while exploring our art and science exhibits and enjoying student performances and informative presentations. Spend time with fellow parents and meet families and teachers from other Fairmont schools. Bring your children along to play with their school friends-kid's activities will include treasure map crafts and pirate themed face painting at our Summer Programs table, photos with our mascots, and a milk and cookie bar! During the months of January and February, Mable Campus will host Grade Level Information Meetings. These meetings will be held in the library and will showcase each grade level. We encourage parents to attend the meetings for the grade(s) their child(ren) will be in next school year. The teachers for each grade level will attend the meetings to answer questions that you may have. Childcare will be offered at each evening meeting. Students can come play games and watch a movie under the supervision of the Student Services staff or they can work on homework in a quiet room. This year, children that come to child care will be offered cheese pizza, a drink, and a snack. If you will utilize child care for any of the evening meetings, please R.S.V.P. to Karen Saturday at the following email address: ksaturday@fairmontschools.com. Each grade level meeting will also have an encore presentation the morning after the evening meeting. 2nd Grade Information Meetings- Tuesday, January 24, at 6:00 p.m. AND Wednesday, January 25 , at 8:45 a.m.
3rd Grade Information Meetings-Tuesday, January 31, at 6:00 p.m. AND Wednesday, February 1 , at 8:45 a.m.

Feature Article Brianna Takes Her Turn as Director for the Day Last year, as part of Mable Campus' re-enrollment drive, 3 students' names were drawn for the honor of being "Director for the Day." On Wednesday, January 11, 5th grader, Brianna, "ruled the school" as she took her turn as Director. Her day consisted of leading flag salute, picking the 100% club winners at flag salute, calling and e-mailing teachers,and calling her friends into the office. Brianna enjoyed an In-N-Out lunch, including milkshakes, with her friends in the Director's office.
