On Thursday, October 6, the Prep Academy visited Mable campus to get the students excited for its Fairmont Family Fun Night. The Prep Academy brought along their mascot, Hank the Husky, in addition to its cheerleaders and some of its football players. Among the football players were 3 Mable campus alumni, Shivum Desai, Omar Ali, and Hunter Marston. Mr. Kiki Mendoza, the Prep Academy Dean of Students and Head Football Coach, introduced the football players and talked to the Mable students about doing well in school.
After the Prep Academy pumped our kids up, Coach Napier took over the Pep Rally. All of our DSL and Tri-Way volleyball and football teams were announced. Additionally, the Panther of the Month winners (see list below) were announced. To conclude the event, each grade level sent a team of 2 students and a teacher to participate in the Football Toss competition. After stiff competition from the 2nd grade team, the 6th grade team of Miss Patterson, Jonathan and Arianna came out the victors.
Fairmont's Family Fun Night, sponsored by the Prep Academy, will take place on Saturday, October 8. The Prep Academy football team will be playing Century High School. The game will take place at Valley Christian High School. There will be many fun activities at the game including a bounce house and a balloon artist. Mable DSL and Tri-Way players will get in free to the game if they are wearing their team uniform. In addition, Kindergarten students from Citron will be singing the National Anthem.
