Prep Academy Information Night Fairmont's Preparatory Academy will be hosting an Information Night on Tuesday, October 4. There will be a Junior High reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. The regular program begins at 6:00 p.m. Any parent, student, or guardian that attends and brings back a program from the event will receive a homework pass.
Donate Books this Sunday! Don't forget to bring books to donate to Anaheim Hills student Megan Mettler's Book Drive this Sunday at the OC Children's Book Festival. All books will go to local schools and non-profits through Megan's Kids READ project. The book drive will be held at the Fairmont booth, so stopy by, say hi, and support a great cause. And check out these other weekend community events for the family.
Technology Days Let us show you how technology is enhancing your child's education! Mable will host Tech Week on Tuesday, October 4, and Wednesday, October 5. The full schedule can be seen here.
Director's Series: Accelerated Math Matt Calabria, Fairmont's Math Coordinator, will talk about the Accelerated Math program. Parents will be given a full overview of the program and will be able to ask any questions they may have about the program. This Director's Series will take place in the library on Wednesday, October 5, at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 6 at 8:45 a.m.
Book Fair Wrap-Up Congratulations to Megan Aho, our Book Fair guessing game winner! Megan's guess of 437 Starburst candies was the closest entry. Megan won $50.00 worth of books from the book fair! Congratulations!
Don't Forget--there is still time to order books from Scholastic and have the money count toward the Mable Book Fair.
Junior High Conference Month October is conference month at Mable Campus. If you are a Junior High parent you several options for meeting with your child's teachers. We are offering group conferences, email/phone conferences or one-on-one conferences. Please print this form and return it to your child's homeroom teacher to let us know your preference.

Feature Article And the Winners Are...
The posters plastered throughout the Junior High building and the pleas of students asking each other, "Will you vote for me?" could only mean one thing--ASB Elections!
Thirteen students threw their names into the ring and ran for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. After 2 weeks of lobbying, the students presented their campaign speeches on Friday, September 23.
After the speeches concluded, students rushed back to class to cast their votes.

Once the dust settled from the election of officers, the students voted on for their homeroom representatives. As in Congress, homerooms receive a certain number of representatives based on the number of students in the class. The results of the homeroom voting is as follows:
