Mable Parent Night
Mable's Parent Night will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Parents will have a chance to meet their child's teacher as well as all of Mable's specialty teachers. There will also be a chance for parents to learn about Fairmont's Learning Management System, Blackboard. Look for a schedule to come home with your child next week.
Fairmont Parent Association's Back to School Picnic
The Fairmont Parent Association (FPA) will host a Back to School Picnic on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 12:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. The FPA is now selling pre-sale tickets for the In-N-Out truck that will be here during the picnic. Additionally, the pool will be open and staffed with a lifeguard; there will be a DJ, a waterslide, and an ice cream truck! All the information, including the In-N-Out pre-sale order form, can be found here.

Good-bye Summer, Hello School!
 We were so excited to see all of the smiling faces on Tuesday as our students hopped out of their cars and came off the busses ready to start the new school year! While our summer school and summer camp program soared to new heights with record-breaking enrollment, we are so pleased to welcome all of our students back for the school year.
The new year always bring excitement, and this year is no different. First of all, we are happy to welcome our international students into our Junior High program. We are also very excited to have a few new faces around school this year. We welcome Miss Shelly Suminski who will be teaching brass to our 5th and 6th grade students during their semester of instrumental music. She will also be teaching Junior High students who have brass as their elective. Also coming on board this year is Miss Heather Barney. Heather will be teaching ESL to our international students. Another exciting change is the addition of Mr. Pablo Guistorobelo who has transferred from the Preparatory Academy to Mable Campus to teach our Junior High Spanish classes. Additionally, we welcome Miss Ashley Gormin and Miss Rachele Charlton who will be in Mrs. Wagner's class and Ms. Falt's class (respectively). Both Mrs. Wagner and Ms. Falt will be out on maternity leave starting in September. |
