Welcome to the latest edition of the Action Bulletin.

There are new items for your attention:

  • Core Training resources are now available on the Virtual Academy for those teachers registered for a training session this summer.
  • A significant discount is available for PLTW schools on the industry-recognized Autodesk Inventor Certified User exam. This certification is ideal for students who have completed the Introduction to Engineering Design course.

Please also review the update on invoices for the BMS Participation Fee and the reminder on the new Software License Order Form.

Let us know if you have any questions on any of these items.

Core Training Resources for Teachers

If you have registered for a Core Training session this summer, you now have access to the Core Training Resource page for your course. The Core Training resource page is located within the Virtual Academy (VA) and is designed to provide you with all of the information and materials that you will need to successfully complete Core Training.

Within the Core Training resource page, you will find links and information related to:

  • Required Core Training software table
  • Readiness Training learning modules
  • 2012-13 curriculum for training
  • Core Training forums

On May 15 other training resources will be added, including a reference copy of the 2012 Core Training Scope and Sequence, training binder, exit surveys, general training information and real-time updates.

In an effort to provide high-impact, in-person training at your Core Training session and to eliminate downtime associated with software installation, please download, install, and launch all software listed within the Required Core Training software table prior to arriving at your Core Training site.

To access the Core Training Resource page:

  • Login to the VA.
  • Scroll to the Core Training section of the main page.
  • Click the Core Training Participant Resources link for your course.
  • Enter your one-time Enrollment Key to gain access (this key was included in a recent letter to all Core Training registrants).
If you have any questions or need assistance, please access the Core Training forum on the VA or email schoolsupport@pltw.org.
