A new curricular option from the International Baccalaureate will integrate academic rigor, an international focus and STEM skills with the aim to ready students for the jobs of a global economy. About 100 schools will incorporate the program when it launches in the fall.
U.S. News & World Report
Based on its report that studied the state of women's employment, the White House Council on Women and Girls is encouraging females to pursue careers in STEM fields. Only about 25 percent of the STEM workforce is female and they make about a third more than women in non-STEM jobs.
