Welcome to the re-launch of the Action Bulletin from PLTW.
Every two weeks you will receive the Action Bulletin for Schools, which is intended to compile various updates and information into fewer emails.
Every issue of the Action Bulletin will also be posted to PLTW.org in the Program Support section.

Spring Assessments Begin in April

The PLTW End of Course spring testing cycle will be open from April 15 through June 30. All PLTW high school courses (except EDD and BI) have online Part A assessments accessible through the Online Assessment System. Optional Part C assessments are also available for most courses. Students must be rostered into the online system prior to testing. For those that administered the NWEA Growth Pre-assessments during the fall, Post-assessments will be available April 1 through June 30.

Core Training Registration Opens

Registration for summer Core Training sessions opened March 15. New teachers and current teachers who will be instructing a new course must pass a Pre-Assessment before signing up for Core Training.
To take the Pre-Assessment, new teachers will need to login to the PLTW Virtual Academy using the username and password provided by their PLTW School District Delegate.
School District Delegates must add teachers to the PLTW Extranet in order for them to take their Pre-Assessments and register for Core Training.
Teachers who have been added to the PLTW Extranet and do not know their login credentials should email Schools Relations.

New Schools Need to be Added to PLTW Extranet

Attention School District Delegates: If you have schools in your district that are implementing a PLTW program for the first time in the 2011-12 school year, you need to add them to the PLTW Extranet. Also, if you have existing schools that will be adding a new program, you will need to update these schools with their new program in the Extranet. Contact School Relations if you have any questions or need assistance.
