Greetings!
Welcome to the New Year! Does it feel much like the old one? Or does it feel bright and new?
Here at the Center, many changes are happening--and it does indeed feel like a bright and shiny New Year. Based on our own hearts' direction, and based on input from folks like you, we are in the midst of "re-organizing" and, in many ways, re-inventing the CSC.
First and most importantly, Gabriela Maldonado-Montano has joined me as co-director of the Center. For those of you who have had the good fortune to know Gabriela, you know she has a tremendous heart and spirit. She has been like a Soul Sister to me for the last decade, as we worked with similar populations, teaching and sharing the Three Principles nationally and internationally.
It's been tremendous fun to envision new directions and work for the Center with Gabriela. One of her dreams, as a Mexican-born immigrant, is to bring the Principles to more Spanish speaking populations, and expand our work in the corporate world, conducting organizational training and consulting. This work will help support our work with underserved populations in the Bay Area and nationally.
Second, our lease here on San Antonio Road in Palo Alto ends January 15 of this new year. Rather than renew, we will be moving into temporary offices until we settle on a new and permanent location. This coming Thursday, January 6, we host our final Drop-In Class at this office. Gabriela and I will co-lead this class on "Where the Rubber Meets the Road: Peace and the Principles in Relationships"...
Our telephone number, website and e-mail addresses will remain the same, and we will continue to offer individual, couples and family coaching in a new space.
Finally, please join us to say "Goodbye" to this space, and to celebrate the good work that has happened here. On Sunday, January 9, we will gather with friends and supporters at a "New Year, New Directions" Open House at our office from 4 to 6 pm. Read below for details ...
We will also say Goodbye to our beloved Office Manager Jayme King (who is leaving for a full time job) and to Nazir, our current video editor volunteer, who is leaving on extended travels ...
Wishing You a Well and Happy New Year,
Ami
