Juggling (verb):

Juggling is the manipulation of time and space

to perform tasks.  Are you a good juggler?
If not, you can be!  Today we have more to
do and less time to do it.  Some of it is by
choice, but more often, things are thrust upon
us both at work and at home that require our
time and attention.  The Work Smart workshop is the solution.
We have helped hundreds of people significantly reduce stress and lead more productive lives.  Let us teach you synergistic time management tools that will "change your life!"

Warm Regards,
Jane Schulte

SMART BRIEF ON SOCIAL MEDIA
linkedinpeopleWhy Should I Be On LinkedIn?
By Kim Jehn

Why should I be on LinkedIn?

All professionals should have a LinkedIn profile. It is your

online resume, displaying your current position, previous
positions, community involvements, awards, education and
your picture. (Note that you are not required to post information in all of these categories.)

Build your network within the LinkedIn community by adding "connections." In most cases, your profile will be the first item shown when your name is typed into a Google search. Having a LinkedIn profile will establish your credibility, show professionalism and allow your connections to learn additional information about you. There are many other beneficial features, such as status updates which allow you to post what you are working on at the moment. Your social media accounts contribute to your online reputation - make yours positive.
ACCOUNTING STRATEGIES
activeThe Value of Being Proactive
By Debbie Farrell

Being proactive in today's professional environment is crucial.  Find mistakes early on, and have them corrected quickly.  Your records will be clean and current.

With constant knowledge of activity, you have your finger on the pulse of the business.  This gives you an opportunity to better analyze what is going on around you.  By keeping yourself current, you are creating a competitive advantage for your organization and yourself.  You are able to utilize more of your down time, and can quickly wrap things up when your reports are due.

By being proactive, rather than reactive, you will be more efficient and effective!

HUMAN RESOURCES CORNER
supportHR Tip - Employee Support
By Ann Wolf

Human Resources is just one area that PRISM can help your company.

If your employees aren't living up to the potential you thought they had when you hired them or seem to be held back from making the contributions you know they are capable of, you may need to do more to support them.

The fundamentals of employee support include putting an employee in the best position for him or her to succeed and consider whether the organization is providing the employee with the basic resources needed to be effective and remain satisfied in their job.

Contact PRISM today to find out how simple, low cost perks and programs can benefit your employees and your bottom line!

HOW TO IMPROVE EMPLOYEE MORALE
 By Meg Frodge

  1. Have a company "Yard Sale" - Have employees bring in items from home they no longer want.  All items are put on display and are free to take.  All items left are donated to a local charity.
  2. Create a reward system for employees who receive client compliments.  "Behavior that is rewarded is repeated." - Michael LeBoeuf
  3. Encourage employees to come up with ideas that improve a process and/or save the company money.  If their idea is chosen give them a $25.00 gift card. This helps the employee feel they have contributed and their ideas are valued and appreciated.
TESTIMONIAL OF THE MONTH

"We could not be more pleased with the new City of Fort Wright website! PRISM did a great job and we were happy to work with one of our own Fort Wright businesses on this project. From start to finish, PRISM made the process seamless and efficient. They were able to take an outdated and complicated website and turn it into something fresh and easy to navigate. Citizens and local businesses, as well as those looking to bring their businesses to Fort Wright, can now visit our website and easily find the information they are looking for. We have already received numerous comments on its great design!"

Joe Nienaber, Jr., Mayor, City of Fort Wright
WORK SMART "TIP OF THE MONTH"

When writing an email, try to anticipate whether the recipient will have questions after reading it so multiple exchanges are avoided.

Success is when the only reply is "Thank you!"

FEATURED BUSINESS ENTITY
carChampion Elite Detailing, owned by
Dwayne Ard

Jane is recognizing Champion Elite Detailing for their excellent customer care.  Jane hired Dwayne to do detailing on her vehicle.  Dwayne came to her office, picked up her SUV, drove it back to his shop and delivered it back to her a few hours later.  It looked like a brand-new vehicle straight off the showroom floor!  The price was right and the service excellent.  Don't be unhappy with your vehicle or buy a new one - contact Dwayne instead!  Visit www.ChampionEliteDetailing.com.

TIME SAVING RECIPE
ribs

Quick and Delicious Country Pork Ribs

Purchase as many country ribs as will either fit in your crockpot or feed your family!  Season them with salt and pepper and braise them on high heat in an oiled pan.  Place them in your crockpot with a large peeled/sliced onion; cover with your favorite BBQ sauce and cook on low all day.  Mash up some potatoes and use the gravy made from the BBQ sauce during cooking.

Add in a veggie and you  have a complete meal!
