Greetings!

I would like to introduce our new updated format for the Chamber newsletter - quarterly! As you may know, we are diligently working on redesigning the Chamber web site, where you'll find great new features and additional Chamber information.

Having a quarterly newsletter will complement and promote our new web site. Look for additional announcements soon! Paul Morris - Executive Director

You can see images from the Care One breakfast here.

In February, Care One of Holmdel hosted a breakfast networking event at their beautiful facility on Rt. 34. Tours are welcome!

Another
amazing Women in Business Luncheon was held at the Shore Cafe in Hazlet

on February 3rd. It was nearly standing room only for our presenter James Guinta of Trance Formation Hypnosis.

Business Tips - Help Your Fellow Chamber Members

From Doug Daniels, Coastal System Technology Coastal

Create a professional image for your company. Register a domain name for the company, and create email accounts for the individuals. Don't use

Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, or Aol accounts; they are simply unprofessional.

Attend networking events. It is very important to build relationships with many types of business professionals. Some people attend events going person to person handing out cards or flyers, expecting people to give them immediate business - also known as desperation networking. Networking is not immediate gratification.

You need to build relationships and trust. Help another professional out by referring them to someone or simply make introductions between people you think can benefit each other.

Not everyone needs your services or products, and those who do may not need them now. However, if you build these relationships, you will be on their minds when someone asks if they know someone who has your skill set or product. This is not an overnight process, so be patient.

Now go out there and build those one on one relationships!
