Business Spotlight
This month, we are spotlighting Dr. Maryann Jacks of People's Healthcare, LLC People's Healthcare, LLC is a primary care medical
practice designed to bring on-site medical care, innovative healthcare
programs, and practical healthcare solutions directly to people's homes,
businesses, schools, and communities.
We're focused on creating
healthcare opportunities that are woven into people's "everyday lives in
everyday places", so that good health and healthcare become a way of life.
In addition to physician home visits, we offer a number of innovative
physician healthcare programs such as our "Invest In Your Health Program"
(designed to help small businesses bring on-site medical care to their employees
and help reduce the cost of health insurance), our "Doctor By Your Side
Program" (for times of special healthcare needs and advocacy), and our Transitional
Medical Care Program (for more intensive physician home care upon hospital
discharge).
A primary goal of our practice is to network with other community
resources to help provide healthcare for those in need, and we've started
a Community Healthcare Sponsorship program to help support and fund this care. We're
striving to eliminate the many barriers and frustrations that people face with healthcare,
partner with them in their care, and empower them to better care for themselves.

Business Tips
Digital printing tip from Toni Passantino of Printech: When preparing material for a
brochure, always provide the printer with high resolution images. Do
not use images found on the internet! Be sure you have the right to reprint images; understand and respect copyrighted images, or stick with royalty free images.
Internet images are only 72 DPI
and will give you a very grainy image. If you do not have an adequate
image, most quality printing facilities have a graphics department with
high resolution images available.
A checking account tip from Jodi Richardelli of Two River Bank: Be aware that your available account balance shown at the ATM may not reflect recent transactions or checks that you have written.
Remember that check card purchases may still go through, even if you don't have sufficient funds in the account. The bank may not know about other pending payments, such as checks that you have written. You may become overdrawn even if the purchase goes through. Understand the fees associated with overdrawing your account and how much they can be. It can really add up.
Computer backup tip from Jeff Bielski of The Connection: One of the most important tips we can recommend for all
types of businesses is to test your backups regularly! Whether onsite or
remotely, make sure your company's data and
information is safe, secure and has a regularly scheduled backup, so if a
disaster does happen, you are not "down". Remember, every minute,
hour and day that your business is not up and running, it's costing you $$.
