Greetings!

Our Corporate Challenge Bowl-A-Thon to benefit the The Community YMCA was a great success and I was grateful for our team - Dottie and Ben Albala, Jeff Bielski, and Joe Ponisi. We won the 3rd place trophy, and Dottie won the trophy for Highest Female Average. Thank you all!

Save the date, it's not too late! On July 17th, join us at our 2nd Annual Golf Outing. Proceeds will assist the Keyport Ministerium. To find out more, email me directly. - Paul Morris, Executive Director

Business Tips

Networking Legal tip by Sebastian Ferrantell of Miller and Gaudio:
In our daily lives, we enter into many different types of agreements; cell phone plans, credit card applications, car leases, office equipment leases, to name a few. These agreements are called contracts. Usually, we sign whatever is put in front of us without reading the "fine print".  If all goes well, the "fine print" doesn't matter. But what happens if there is a problem, and now you don't know what you agreed to?

When you enter into any type of agreement, it is important to read and understand everything before you sign - not just the sales pitch the salesperson gives you. If you have questions, let someone explain what the terms of the agreement mean. If they are unable to, take the agreement to an attorney to explain your rights and obligations.

Fitnesss tip from Jon Rimmer of the Training Rim: Core Training Mistake #1. One of the biggest mistakes exercisers make when performing core training is to train for hypertrophy - i.e. "bigger muscles", on an area of the body we are trying to make smaller.

For example, we all agree that if we do one million bicep curls, our biceps will get bigger - so why do we assume that by doing one million crunches, sit ups, etc., our abdomen WON'T get bigger? Learn more about this mistaken assumption (and others) here.
