District to begin yearly survey
The school district will begin its yearly community phone survey this week and should be completed by June 1.  The district wants to make residents aware that they may be called and strongly encourages them to participate and give their feedback. "This phone survey is something the district does every year," said Superintendent Randy Stepp.

Survey participants are chosen at random, although quotas have been established to ensure one voice is not more represented than another.  "While everyone's opinion is important, certain quotas based on age and geographic region have to be established," Stepp said.  "If a participant is called but does not get the chance to complete the survey, it is because he or she falls into a quota that has already been filled."

The survey should take five minutes to complete, and no calls will be made after 8:30 p.m.
