It also provides an update on EICC key performance indicators and metrics, the Code Review process, the Membership Compliance Program, and the association's governance. Report on H&S Training Pilots:
Participants Offer Very Positive Feedback
The Learning and Capability Building Work Group organized a health and safety training session on Sep. 19 conducted by UL Responsible Sourcing. The session was attended by 50 participants at the Philips facility in Shenzhen (thanks Philips!).
The workplace course helps facility management overcome challenges in implementing effective health and safety programs, and helps build cultures in factories that promote health and safety. The course applies a "train the trainer" model to enable facility managers to transfer knowledge they gain to employees.
The session received very positive feedback from participants on the training content, delivery, and logistics. The training materials, which are translated into Chinese and Spanish, are available on the EICC SharePoint site and posted on the EICC and GeSI Servitium training site.

Join the EICC Supply Chain Transparency Task Force!
EICC is forming a task force to address growing stakeholder expectations for greater supply chain transparency. The task force mission is to promote broader SER performance transparency in the IT industry. This will be accomplished by developing recommendations EICC members may consider to improve public reporting of supply chain practices. The task force will engage IT supply chain partners and external stakeholders who play a role in setting expectations and requirements.
Several companies have already expressed interest in participating, including HP, Microsoft, Intel, and Oracle. All EICC members are encouraged to join, especially those from sectors of the industry that can help broaden representation in the task force. Contact Ben Bruno to join.

Audit Process and EICC-ON Enhancements
Section Score Report An error has been identified in the way question CH1.3 scores in EICC-ON. If a user selects "Yes-Same As Individual Above," the system should assign the same score as a "Yes" response, but is assigning the same score as it would for a "No" response. This results in a higher risk score. To fix the issue, users can go back into the SAQ and change the answer choice to "Yes" for CH1.3. The "Yes" response will cause dependency questions to appear. This error will be corrected in the next revision of the SAQ.
EICC-ON Dashboard and User Licenses
Companies can use a new feature on the EICC-ON dashboard to determine how many of their allocated user licenses are in use. Each EICC member company is allocated 50 user licenses as part of membership. EICC-ON will prompt for additional payment if additional user licenses are needed.
VAP Tip of the Week
Check the weekly VAP tracker to see if your suppliers are undergoing or have completed a validated audit. The tracker can be viewed on the VAP page of the EICC SharePoint site. Companies must have a confidentiality agreement in place with the VAP before accessing the tracker. Contact Grant Feichtinger to gain access.
