DataWorking Hours Data Collection

The EICC Working Hours Work Group is collecting working hours data from EICC members.  Members are encouraged to complete the Excel template here for all of their company locations in China. A member of the work group will follow up with a representative from each EICC member company to facilitate collection, provide specific guidance, and answer questions.  Please submit your completed template by October 31.

The data will be used to determine the level of information EICC members are able to provide, and to identify conformance trends relating to 60-hour limits and one rest day per week requirements in the EICC Code of Conduct. Though some members may not have systems in place to capture weekly working hours data, the work group is collecting weekly data to conform to the EICC Code requirements.

Completed templates should be sent to Brad Cameron at AMS.  All data will be treated as confidential, and all company affiliations will be removed from the data before it is provided to the work group.  Contact John Digenan for more information.

MineralsConflict Minerals Reporting Template

The Extractives Work Group has launched the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template tool, developed to facilitate disclosure of information regarding smelters that provide material to company supply chains.  The template can assist companies in their due diligence processes by tracking information in their supply chains that is related to conflict minerals.

The template includes questions on company conflict-free policies, engagement with direct suppliers, and a list of smelters companies used in their supply chain.  The template provides written instructions and recorded training on use of the tool, and is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

Additionally, a "dashboard" is available for aggregating multiple templates from suppliers.  The dashboard enables data analysis and supports the preparation of consolidated information from multiple suppliers.  The dashboard is available in English.

EICC members, along with non-member participants of the Extractives Work Group, can access the due diligence reporting tools and training materials here.
