Tip for SharePoint Users
Access to SharePoint is available to all EICC members. Contact Ben Bruno to receive user credentials for someone in your company.
Members using Internet Explorer can reduce the number of times they are prompted for a username and password by adding SharePoint to their list of local Intranet sites. To add as a local Intranet site, follow these simple steps:
- Sign into SharePoint using your username and password.
- Click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options" at the top right of your browser window.
- In the window that opens select the "Security" tab, which will be second from the left at the top of the window.
- Select "Local Intranet" and then click "Sites."
- In the window that opens select "Advanced."
- Type "http://eicc.labj.com" into the field called "Add this website to the zone:"
- The box "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" should not be checked.
- Close the open windows.
Once you have completed these steps SharePoint will only prompt you for your username and password one more time. Contact Grant Feichtinger with any questions. |

Conflict Minerals Reporting Template
The Extractives Work Group has launched the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template tool, developed to facilitate disclosure and communication of information regarding smelters that provide material to company supply chains. The template can assist companies in their due diligence processes by tracking information in their supply chains that is related to conflict minerals. The template includes questions on company conflict-free policies, engagement with direct suppliers, and a list of smelters companies used in their supply chain. The template provides written instructions and recorded training on use of the tool, and is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. Additionally, a "dashboard" is available for aggregating multiple templates from suppliers. The dashboard enables data analysis and supports the preparation of consolidated information from multiple suppliers. The dashboard is available in English. EICC members, along with non-member participants of the Extractives Work Group, can access the due diligence reporting tools and training materials here. |
