diligenceEICC-GeSI Due Diligence Reporting Template

Thank you to the members who participated in the recent pilot of the EICC GeSI Due Diligence Reporting Template. The pilot concluded at the end of March.

All members are asked to inform their suppliers to stop using the pilot template.  The final template will be available on EICC and GeSI websites at the end of June.
LCBWorker-Management Communications Materials: Pilot Summary

A worker-management communications training pilot by the L&CB Worker-Management Communication Taskforce has been completed.

The training was developed to help EICC members and their suppliers implement effective worker-management communication systems, and to raise employee awareness of their rights and responsibilities.

A total of 35 human resource managers, trainers, and members of the taskforce participated in the pilot.  The training was hosted by OSRAM at its facility in Penang, Malaysia on April 27-29.  The 2.5 day training course applies a "train the trainer" model to help transfer knowledge to workers.

Participants provided very positive feedback on the training content, professionalism of the trainers, and the opportunity to share lessons learned and best practice with peers.  They also offered feedback on the length of the training and specific challenges faced by companies in the Malaysian IT industry.

The taskforce will incorporate the feedback into the training materials.  The materials were developed with INFACT Global Partners and the Fair Labor Association, and will available in Chinese and English later this year.

Contact Jessica Davis Pluess for more information.  Click here to see a list of companies that attended the pilot and feedback from participants.

etascJoin the Anti-Corruption Work Group

The new EICC Anti-Corruption Work Group is looking for members to help develop due diligence solutions for EICC members relating to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the new U.K Bribery Act.  The work group will focus on due diligence questions to be included in the RA1 and RA2, and on proposed enhancements to the EICC Code of Conduct.

U.S. and U.K. regulators are reviewing practices by companies to manage their risks under the laws as they relate to third parties who perform services for the companies and interact with the government.

The work group will schedule webinars by legal experts in June to improve awareness of anti-corruption issues and explain preparations suppliers should make.  EICC Members are encouraged to participate, and to invite suppliers.  Representatives from legal/compliance departments are especially encouraged to attend.

Contact Ben Bruno with your name, email account, company, and title to join the work group or attend a webinar.

dataE-TASC Data Migration

An FAQ was sent to primary representatives to answer questions about the new Enablon system and data migration from E-TASC. The FAQ is available here.

All companies are encouraged to take action before subscriptions to E-TASC expire. Current E-TASC SAQ data will not be migrated to the new system.

Suppliers that accept an invitation to register with Enablon will be able to save their current SAQs for reference. The Enablon system will have a new SAQ with new questions that support audit activities and the new Services SAQ. Additional details on loading current SAQ questionnaires in the new system will be provided at a later date. Contact Grant Feichtinger with questions.
