BanEICC Election for Board and Finance Committee 

 

An election will begin tomorrow to fill an open Board seat and the new seat on the EICC Finance Committee. The following nominations have been submitted:
  • Board Director for Asia Program: Stephanie Law, Celestica.
  • Finance Committee: Grover Thurman, Foxconn.

An election form and nominee statements will be sent to all EICC primary representatives tomorrow. Election ballots must be returned by 5 PM EST on April 8.

planningJoin a Planning Group This Week! 

 

EICC work groups will meet through April to develop plans on three key initiatives. All members are encouraged to provide input by joining one or more of the following groups:
  • Code Conformance: Will meet via conference call from 1-2 PM EST on Wednesdays. The group will develop a plan to accelerate the pace at which members are able to conform to the EICC Code of Conduct.
  • Environment: Will hold its first call on March 30 at 11 AM EST. The group will develop plans to reduce impacts relating to carbon, waste, and water.
  • Overtime: A time for the group's first call will be posted in the next Bulletin. The group will develop a plan to help EICC members improve conformance to national and EICC Code limits on overtime.

surveyCarbon Reporting Training: April 7

The Environmental Sustainability Work Group will host two web-based trainings on the EICC Carbon Reporting system. The first session for customers will be held on April 7 at 9 AM and 4 PM PST. A session for suppliers will be held in May.

A minimum of 3 people must register for a session to move forward. Contact Jesse Nishinaga to register. Please indicate which session you want to attend.
pilotE-TASC Data Migration 

An FAQ has been sent to primary representatives to answer common questions about the new Enablon system and data migration from E-TASC. The FAQ is available here.
 
All companies are encouraged to take action before subscriptions to E-TASC expire. Current E-TASC SAQ data will not be migrated to the new system.
 
Suppliers that accept an invitation to register with Enablon will be able to save their current SAQs for reference. The Enablon system will have a new SAQ with new questions that support audit activities and the new Services SAQ. Additional details on loading current SAQ questionnaires in the new system will be provided at a later date. Contact Grant Feichtinger with questions.

meetingCarbon, Water, and Waste Data Collection

 

The Environmental Sustainability Work Group is collecting information from member companies about their carbon, water, and waste targets.  Contact Marsha Ali or Sasha Radovich to share your company's targets.  Please submit the linked form by April 1.

materialsAnnual Report 

 

The 2010 EICC Annual Report development process has begun. Kimberly Murphy of BSR will send primary representatives an email in the next few weeks with a link to the annual member survey.  The survey collects information to produce aggregated data on key performance indicators for the Annual Report.  EICC members are required to complete the survey.

Members will also be asked to participate in annual report case studies, similar to those provided in the 2009 report.  Contact Wendy Dittmer for more information.
