  • Budget--Approved the 2011 budget for membership ratification (the budget was approved by the membership on Jan. 19).
VeriteAuditor Certification Classes: China, Mexico, and Singapore 

The next EICC Labor & Ethics Lead Auditor Certification training class will be held in Singapore on Feb. 21-27.  The session will be conducted in English. Please register by February 17.

Schedule for upcoming classes:
  • Singapore (Register by Feb. 17)
  • Mexico City: March 14-18 (Register by March 1)
  • Shenzhen: March 28-April 1 (Register by March 14)
Space is still available for EICC member company auditors who want to become IRCA-certified EICC auditors, or to be trained to conduct audits on their own facilities or supplier facilities. The cost is US $1,880.

UpdateExtractives Webinars Scheduled

The Extractives Work Group will host two webinars during the week of January 24. The webinars will give members an overview of Extractives Work Group activities and other initiatives the work group is supporting.

dataNew Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) Now Available

The EICC Corporate, Facility, and Services SAQs are now available in Excel format with the ability to score and measure responses. The file is for member use until the Enablon system is operational. Click here to access the file.

Deadline information for the Member Compliance Program will be available by the end of January.
CarbonCarbon Reporting System Agreements

The updated "Terms and Conditions for the 2011 Carbon Reporting System" is available here. All participating members should review the document with their internal legal teams and return a signed copy to jnishinaga@bsr.org by February 15.   • January: Terms and Conditions distributed to EICC members
  • February: Finalize data collection methodology
  • February: Finalize suppliers' questions
  • March: Invite customers
  • March-April: Conduct customer training (1-2)
  • April: Submit supplier lists
  • May: Invite suppliers
  • May-June: Conduct supplier training (3-4)
  • May-August: Collect supplier data
  • September-October: Aggregate data and provide summaries to customers
  • November-December: Draft and publish final report
facilityE-TASC Facility Information

An FAQ that addresses common questions about the new Enablon system has been sent to primary contacts at member companies and is also available here.  All companies are encouraged to review the SAQ before subscriptions to E-TASC expire.  In particular, companies are encouraged to read the section about migrating data from E-TASC.  Contact Grant Feichtinger with any questions.
