Membership Compliance Program Deadline: December 31
Data collection for the EICC Membership Compliance Program began in October. Members are required to provide "first-pass" information on activities in their companies and major suppliers by December 31. The data will provide baselines for the program in 2011. Check the following links for more information:

Environmental Sustainability Work Group Update
The Environmental Sustainability Work Group held a planning session in Santa Clara, CA on (date). The meeting included an overview of water footprinting at Intel by Tom Cooper (Intel), updates by John Malian (Cisco) and Jay Celorie (HP) of other industry activity, and a summary of stakeholder engagement by Wendy Dittmer (EICC).
It also included a comprehensive review by Jesse Nishinaga (BSR) of work completed on the carbon reporting process in the EICC supply chain. Jessie provided a draft timeline for the process in 2011, including:
- January: Terms and conditions distributed to EICC members for approval to participate (internal legal reviews must be completed in each company).
- February: Finalize data collection methodology.
- February: Finalize suppliers' questions.
- March: Invite customers.
- March-April: Conduct customer training sessions (1-2).
- April: Submit supplier lists.
- May: Invite suppliers.
- May-June: Conduct supplier training sessions (3-4).
- May-August: Collect supplier data.
- September-October: Aggregate data and provide summaries to customers.
- November-December: Write and publish final report.
The work group will finalize its 3-year roadmap and projects at the membership meeting in January.

E-TASC Facility Information
An FAQ that addresses common questions about the new Enablon system has been sent to primary contacts at member companies and is also available here. All companies are encouraged to review the SAQ before subscriptions to E-TASC expire. In particular, companies are encouraged to read the section about migrating data from E-TASC. Save the Date: EICC Membership Meeting
The EICC Winter Membership Meeting will be hosted by Sony at their San Diego campus on January 18-20, 2011. The meeting will include a strategic planning session, overview of EICC activities, an update on extractives issues, and assessment tool demonstrations.
