The Board took the following action this week:

  • Legal Filings: Received a report from AMS about the association's tax and other legal filings. All filings are up to date.
  • Annual Report: Discussed reporting metrics to be used in the Annual Report.
  • Membership Meeting: Discussed final plans for the April 27-29 Membership Meeting.

newJoin the L&CB Sub-Team on Worker-Management Communication Training

The EICC/GeSI Learning & Capability Building Work Group has formed a training sub-team to develop a worker-management communication training course. The training will include resources for workers on their rights and responsibilities, and will involve collaboration with stakeholders (as approved by members in the September 2009 Membership Meeting). This key project is also part of the 2010 stakeholder engagement roadmap. The sub-team meets at 10-11 AM EST on Thursdays and is open to all members. The EICC Working Hours Task Force is excited to announce the release of several tools and resources to help enrich EICC member methodologies and processes for managing working hours. Please join us for one of the following webinars to learn more (registration is required in advance).

AsiaProgramAsia Program Meetings: Meeting Notes Available

The EICC Asia Program committees met on April 19-20 in Shenzhen to discuss recruitment and outreach efforts, and to plan activities relating to the new Location Recognition Program and other initiatives. The meetings were hosted by Philips and Dell at their offices (EICC appreciates the contributions of meeting space, technology support, and lunches that were provided by the companies--thank you!).

A total of 24 Asia Program members from 15 EICC companies joined the meetings. Notes from the meetings are available for review here. Contact Brad Cameron if you have questions or need more information.

MembCompEICC Membership Compliance Program: New Time Line

The Compliance Program Work Group has revised the timeline for review and adoption of the new program. The "next-to-final" compliance materials will be distributed April 23 to all member primary contacts and Membership Meeting attendees. The changes will allow more time for EICC members to learn about the new requirements, and to offer input through an extended comment period:

  • April 23: Distribution of "next-to-final" compliance materials for member review.
  • April 27: Presentation and discussion at the April 27 Membership Meeting.
  • May 7: Distribution of final documents for internal review.
  • May 24: Members submit final comments.
  • June 1-3: Membership Webinars.
  • June 7: Distribution of ballot materials.
  • June 18: Membership votes submitted to program administrator.

CEREALMeet with CEREAL at the Guadalajara Membership Meeting

If your company will attend the Guadalajara Member Meeting and would like to meet with representatives of CEREAL, contact Wendy Dittmer by Monday, April 26. Time has been set aside at the conclusion of the Stakeholder Session on Wednesday, April 28, for company meetings. This is a chance for members to discuss important issues privately with CEREAL.

achillesE-TASC V. 1.07: Volunteers Needed for Testing

The EICC program manager for E-TASC will conduct a user acceptance testing (UAT) cycle as part of the development process for version 1.07. Volunteers are needed to participate in the UAT. The testing schedule includes:

  • June 21-3: UAT Cycle 1
  • June 23-25: Release for fixes
  • June 28-30: UAT Cycle 2
  • June 30: Release for fixes
  • July 5-9: Retest
  • July 12-14: Final review
  • July 14: Sign off by UAT testers

Volunteers must register by May 31. Contact Fiona Donaldson to register or for more information.

guadalajaraInformation for Guadalajara Membership Meeting

The next EICC membership meeting will be held April 27-29 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Members are encouraged to register immediately. Please note that work groups will meet on their own. The updated meeting agenda is available here and includes:
