2010 Carbon Reporting System: Final Call
The Environmental Sustainability Work Group is still accepting participants in the 2010 Carbon Reporting System. 22 EICC companies have already signed up. All others are encouraged to join this month. Important reasons to participate include:
- Straightforward--easy-to-participate system with a questionnaire that is simpler than CDP.
- No duplication of efforts--suppliers can submit their CDP response or the EICC questionnaire.
- High participation rates within EICC--helps the industry lobby for appropriate carbon accounting methods in international forums such as the WRI Scope 3 standard.
- Encourages supplier participation--More suppliers in the ICT supply chain will measure and manage their emissions.
An overview of the initiative is provided here. To participate, download the Terms and Conditions and return a signed copy, along with a completed supplier list to Betsy Fargo by April 30. If you have already submitted your signed Terms and Conditions form, don't forget to also submit your supplier list. Timely submission of these forms is critical to ensure suppliers are contacted in early May to report their data. |
