ProspectsJoin the E-TASC V2.0 RFP Work Group

EICC will form a V2.0 RFP Work Group to identify the best provider for the association's proprietary next-generation supply chain database. The group will operate in parallel with the existing E-TASC V1.7 Work Group (the V1.7 version is scheduled for launch in July).

EICC members with expertise in IT systems and other critical skills are encouraged to volunteer. A description of the skills sought by the work group and other information is available here. Work group members should be able to commit 6-8 hours per week on the project through mid-August. Interested members should contact the work group project manager Laurie Howard by March 26. The work group will consider all personnel from member companies who have relevant expertise or experience.

MeetingRegistration Information for Guadalajara Membership Meeting

The next EICC membership meeting will be held April 27-29 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Members are encouraged to register early to help us improve the planning process. Please note that work groups will meet on their own. The updated meeting agenda is available here and includes:

  • April 27: Membership Meeting and Roundtable Discussions
  • April 28: Stakeholder Event and One-on-One meetings
  • April 29: Supplier Training
Register for the meeting here

Roundtable Discussion:
Please submit suggestions for topics you would like covered during the roundtable discussions. Topics could include best practices, starting a CSR department, or other issues that prevent your company from making improvements. The discussions are intended to look beyond EICC tools to broader issues that concern EICC members. Email your suggestions to Grant Feichtinger by Monday, March 29th.

Event Location:
The event will take place at the Hotel Presidente Intercontinental. The negotiated rate is $116 per night, and includes breakfast & lunch during the EICC event. If you are not staying in the EICC room block, EICC will be required to cover the cost of breakfast and lunch.

Recommended Hotel:

Submit Supplier Names from Latin America:
Supplier training will occur on April 29. The morning session will include an overview of the Validated Audit Process. The afternoon session will focus on Health and Safety, and on Contract Labor topics.

EICC is gathering contact information for suppliers that members would like to invite to the training sessions. Please contact Grant Feichtinger with your list of suppliers by March 29. A contact name, company name, email address, and phone number must be included for each supplier.

Webinare-Learning Course Available

Two e-Learning training courses are now available for use by EICC companies and their suppliers. The course are Corporate Responsibility for Supply Chain Management and Corporate Responsibility for Supplier Management. The courses can be accessed as follows:

  • Launch from the EICC LMS website: Companies must email eicclms.support@servitium.com with the name and email address for their company administrator who can approve access for suppliers.
  • Download from SharePoint: Companies may download LMS-ready SCORM files or stand-alone ZIP files. To launch the course from the ZIP files, be sure to first save the ZIP packages on a local hard drive, and then extract the files to a folder. The course will not launch directly from the zip package.

The Learning & Capability-Building Work Group will be host webinars on April 6 (5:00 PM PST) and April 8 (8:00 AM PST) to discuss the courses, and to provide instructions for downloading and accessing the files. Register for a webinar by clicking on the webinar date.

Additional information is available here. FAQs and launch instructions are also available. Contact Grant Feichtinger for more information.

Carbon2010 Carbon Reporting System Available

The Environmental Sustainability Work Group encourages members to participate in the 2010 Carbon Reporting System for gathering carbon data across the supply chain. An overview is provided here. EICC will accept either the EICC Excel-based questionnaire or a copy of a Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) response. BSR will collate and aggregate the responses. Key dates for the system include:

  • March 31: Deadline to confirm your participation and return signed Terms and Conditions.
  • April 30: Deadline to return your Supplier List (identifying suppliers from which data is sought).
  • June 30: Deadline for suppliers to provide data.

Participation is free to EICC members. To participate, please download the Terms and Conditions and return a signed copy to Betsy Fargo by March 31. Also download the Supplier List Template and return it to Betsy Fargo by April 30. Timely submission of these materials is critical to ensure suppliers are contacted in early May to report their data. Non-EICC members can participate for a fee of $5,000. Contact Jay Celorie if you know of non-EICC members who are interested in participating.
