  • New Member: Voted to approve Chicony Electronics Company as a new member.

ProspectsWelcome to Chicony Electronics Company!

Chicony Electronics Company is the newest member of EICC. Chicony is based in Taiwan and maintains operations in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. It produces electronics goods including keyboards and digital cameras. The company's primary contact in EICC will be Vic Lee. Welcome aboard!

SurveyMembership Compliance Program: Focus Groups

EICC members are invited to participate in a focus group to provide feedback on the membership compliance program. An overview of the program was presented by EICC Board Member Eric Austermann at the member meeting in January. Input from EICC members who participate in the focus group will be used to finalize the program.

A total of two or three one-hour sessions will be scheduled during the week of March 8. Participants will be asked to review materials in advance of each session, and should be prepared to discuss issues and provide feedback to the compliance team. Contact Wendy Dittmer to participate, or for more information about the meeting schedule.

WebinarWebinar for VAP Participants

The Validated Audit Process (VAP) operation management team has scheduled a webinar for EICC companies that are participating in the VAP. The webinar will be held at 9 AM EST (5 PM GMT) on Tuesday, March 2.

Auditee information will be shared in the webinar. As a result, webinar participants must have provided EICC with a completed AECI. Companies that want to participate but have not submitted an AECI should contact Mark Katchen (VAP Audit manager) to complete the agreement.

The webinar will be used to review current VAP tools and the VAP process. It will also cover customer responsibilities, best practices, and a detailed presentation of the VAP tracking list Excel tool. The session will be recorded and posted on the VAP member SharePoint site.

The success of the VAP process is partially dependent on member actions to ensure progress. Contact Grant Feichtinger for call-in details if you want to participate.
