BoardBoard Actions This Week

The Board took the following action this week:
  • Industry Collaboration: Approved a memorandum of understanding with the Auto Industry Action Group to collaborate on supply chain issues. AIAG includes major auto manufacturers and numerous other heavy industry companies.
  • Asia Network: Reviewed findings from the Aug. 4 Asia Network meeting in Shenzhen. A proposal to further develop the network will be presented to the Board for discussion and approval at the Sep. 15-17 membership meeting.
  • External Communications: Reviewed procedures for EICC responses to inquiries from NGOs and the media. The Stakeholder and Communications Work Group will circulate the procedures to all work groups when they are finalized.

MembershipMeetingMembership Meeting Update

Registration remains open for the September 15-17 EICC membership meeting in Chandler, AZ. The meeting plans have been expanded to include a full day on Sep. 15 for work group meetings, and an important session on Sep. 17 with the International Labor Organization. The full membership meeting will be held on Sep. 16.
