  • Membership Meeting: The Board reviewed planning for the September 15-17 membership meeting in Chandler, AZ. The Board added time to the agenda for membership discussion about E-TASC, budget priorities, and member compliance with EICC membership requirements.

Contribute to Important EICC Initiatives

The continued success of EICC depends on contributions from every member.  Please consider how you can help the following initiatives:

  • VAPLast Call for China VAP Cycle: A total of 18 EICC/GeSI companies will participate in the 2009 China cycle of the Validated Audit Process. Contact Mark Katchen if you want to participate. Completed contracts must be submitted by Friday, August 14.
  • AsiaAsia Network Update: EICC hosted a two-day planning session for EICC member representatives in Asia on Aug. 3-4. The meeting was held at the Flextronics facility in Shenzhen, and included 24 representatives from 18 EICC companies. Participants established a new "roadmap" for the Asia Network, which will be presented to the Board of Directors for review on Aug. 25. An overview of findings and recommendations from the meeting will be posted in the next Bulletin for review by all members. Contact Brad Cameron for more information.
  • CoLeadStakeholders and Communication Work Group: The work group needs a co-leader. The position requires communications experience and a small commitment of time each week.  This is a great position for any company representative who is looking for a way to participate in EICC.  Contact Marcy Lynn if you are interested in the position.
  • LCBL&CB Survey on Training Programs: The Learning and Capability Building (L&CB) Work Group would like input from EICC and GeSI members for development of a worker training program. Input will be used to define the scope, content, partners, and other elements that should be considered for the program. The work group also wants feedback from members about priority training topics in FY10. Respond to the brief survey here. The survey will close tomorrow, Friday, August 7.
