BoardBoard Actions This Week

The Board took the following action this week:
  • Reviewed progress reports on the E-TASC development process.
  • Reviewed progress reports on the Validated Audit Process and discussed approaches to encourage maximum membership participation in the new audit cycle.
  • Discussed proposed changes to the EICC contracting process that will reduce time and improve efficiency. The Board will update its "Procurement Policies and Practices" guidelines in order to allow Work Groups to develop contracts for work under their jurisdiction.

Contribute to Important EICC Initiatives

The continued success of EICC depends on contributions from every member.  Please consider how you can help the following initiatives:

  • AsiaAsia Network Planning Meeting: EICC will kick off its Asia program at a meeting on Aug. 4 for all Asia Network participants. The meeting will be held at the Flextronics office in Shenzhen to develop plans for EICC activities in Asia. A total of 29 Network members from 19 companies have registered so far. Contact Brad Cameron to register. EICC will provide a meeting agenda and address via email to all registered participants.
  • ETASCE-TASC Survey: All EICC members are invited to complete a survey that will be used to inform the decision making process about the future governance of E-TASC. All respondents will receive a summary report of the results and follow up information about how to influence the next steps of the governance review. The survey takes 5-10 minutes and can be accessed here.
  • CoLeadStakeholders and Communication Work Group: The work group needs a co-leader. The position requires communications experience and a small commitment of time each week.  This is a great position for any company representative who is looking for a way to participate in EICC.  Contact Marcy Lynn if you are interested in the position.
  • LCBL&CB Survey on Training Programs: The Learning and Capability Building (L&CB) Work Group would like input from EICC and GeSI members for development of a worker training program. Input will be used to define the scope, content, partners, and other elements that should be considered for the program. The work group also wants feedback from members about priority training topics in FY10. Respond to the brief survey here. Please complete the survey by Friday, August 7.
