Board Actions This Week

• E-TASC: Voted to proceed with development plans for E-TASC that were provided by the E-TASC development work group. The plans will guide the decision making process for development of E-TASC version 2.0.
• Membership Meeting: Reviewed the agenda for the September 15-17 meeting in Chandler, AZ. The Board will identify additional outside speakers or panel members for a presentation and discussion of critical CSR issues.

Service Improvements for EICC Work Groups
 
EICC is making continuous improvements in its processes and tools.  The following  improvements were completed this week to respond to member requests:

• SharePoint: The EICC document sharing tool has been redesigned to improve organization and navigation.  Access the site from the EICC website home page or click here.  EICC staff will provide all registered users of the old site with a new user name and password via email.  Look for an email from EICC today at 3 PM EST for your information.  Need help or have comments?  Contact Grant Feichtinger.
• Conference Call Numbers: EICC members outside the US requested local or toll-free numbers to join work group calls. EICC will change its conference call service provider to accommodate the requests.  New call-in information will be provided to every member via a meeting invite from scheduler@eicc.info.  Look for the invite on Monday, July 20.

Contribute to Important EICC Initiatives
 
The continued success of EICC depends on contributions from every member.  Please consider how you can help the following initiatives:

• Carbon Reporting System: A total of 22 companies and 145 suppliers have signed up for this new EICC service, the first industry-wide system to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions. 13 companies have provided disclaimer forms, and only 6 companies have provided supplier lists (please submit these items as soon as possible). Review training materials for the system here.  Register your company to take advantage of this service, which is provided at no additional cost to EICC members.  Contact Carrie Hoffman for more information.
• Stakeholders and Communication Work Group: The work group needs a co-leader. The position requires communications experience and a small commitment of time each week.  This is a great position for any company representative who is looking for a way to participate in EICC.  Contact Marcy Lynn if you are interested in the position.
• Asia Network: A new Asia Work Group will be formed to help plan EICC initiatives in Asia.  The work group will host a meeting Aug. 5 in Shenzhen, China for all Asia Network members.  Contact Brad Cameron if you want to attend the meeting.
