The Board took the following action this week:
  • E-TASC:  The Board continued its review of the process to complete E-TASC version 1.5, and to develop version 2.0. Board review of the process will continue through next week.

CarbonSupplier Training Sessions Announced for Carbon Reporting System
 
The Environmental Sustainability Work Group announced two training sessions to help suppliers learn how to respond to data requests under the Carbon Reporting System. The sessions will also provide overall education on Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Suppliers may attend either session. Contact Grant Feichtinger for more information.

AsiaRegister Your Asia Reps for the Aug. 4 Asia Network Meeting
 
EICC staff will facilitate a meeting Aug. 4 in Shenzhen, China to expand the Asia Network and develop plans for the EICC Asia Program. The meeting will be led by EICC Board Director for Asia Programs, Richard Wong (Flextronics). Every EICC member is encouraged to identify one or more company representatives to attend the meeting. Meeting participants will be asked to offer input on a strategic plan for the program, and to get involved in its implementation. Contact Brad Cameron for more information.

ILOILO Presentation at Sep. 17 Membership Meeting: Join the Planning Process
 
The Communications / Stakeholder Engagement Work Group has invited the International Labor Organization (ILO) to participate in an information / education session for EICC members during the membership meeting on Sep. 17.  The session will cover Freedom of Association and the Better Work program.  Contact Grant Feichtinger if you want to join future work group calls to plan the session.

Achilles has published a newsletter on E-TASC for EICC members and other E-TASC subscribers. It features news on E-TASC, including updates and improvements, free "supplier campaigns," and discounts for new subscribers. To access the newsletter, click here.
