ChangesImportant Organizational Changes for EICC

The EICC Board election completed an important phase of the association's reorganization. The changes, including newly defined Board positions under a revised committee structure, are intended to align the association with new goals:

  • Goal 1: Increase global awareness of the EICC Code of Conduct.
  • Goal 2: Encourage adoption of the EICC Code of Conduct by all electronics firms.
  • Goal 3: Ensure suppliers in the global electronics supply chain make progress toward compliance with the EICC Code of Conduct.
Click here to see a chart of the new Board structure. The chart also shows how each EICC Work Group is aligned with the new governance structure. The new structure includes:
  • Development Committee: Four Board Directors to guide development of the association.
  • Implementation Committee: Three Directors to guide pursuit of the association's goals.
  • Regional Committee: One Director to guide EICC initiatives in Asia.

VAPVAP China Cycle: Next Steps

The VAP China cycle is delayed to execute the EICC non-disclosure agreement and audit purchase base agreements.  Here are next steps:

  • Participating companies will receive an audit purchase base agreement that has been revised to address comments. The agreement will be sent as soon as company inputs are reviewed.
  • Companies submitting input should prepare their internal teams to sign the revised agreement as soon as updated contract templates are received (one week turnaround).
  • Budget numbers and the audit sites should be submitted according to the instructions and template posted here.

Send submissions to audits@eicc.info by June 12.  Complete the agreements before submitting audit sites.  VAP information and contract templates are here. Please direct all VAP questions to Phylmar@eicc.info.

StakeholderRecruitment: Help EICC Reach Its Goal for 2009

EICC is forming a Membership Recruitment Committee to help implement the association's recruitment program.  Brian Glazebrook, EICC Director for Outreach, will oversee the committee.  EICC staff members Brad Cameron and Carrie Hoffman will help guide efforts.  The committee will help EICC recruit five new members in 2009.  Join us!
  • Join the Committee: Contact Carrie if you want to participate in planning and other recruitment efforts.
  • Submit a Form: Every EICC member is asked to identify at least one potential recruit.  Click here for a form.

ToolsWork Group Leaders: Are Your Tools Listed?

Every work group is asked to add its tools to the list.  Click here to add tools developed by your work group.  Please take action by close of business June 19.  Direct questions to Christine Wright, Ginny Fan or Mihaela Gheorghe.
